About the NIED Cluster: The NIED Cluster in Ghana comprises six bilateral, four regional, and seven global projects. It aims to create economic frameworks for inclusive, sustainable, and employment-driven growth.
Key Responsibilities: As the Finance Manager, your duties will include:
- Overseeing financial control for multiple projects, including budget and contract monitoring.
- Managing accounts receivable and payable, coordinating with GIZ service units and country offices.
- Preparing budgets in collaboration with project leads, ensuring proper cost control and expenditure tracking.
- Handling procurement services while ensuring compliance with applicable contract regulations.
- Providing advisory support on commercial matters, particularly regarding BMZ and EU financing.
- Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and meeting accounting deadlines.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A university degree in business, finance, or a related field with a focus on financial management and controlling.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as a finance manager in public sector implementation agencies.
- Strong knowledge of SAP controlling functions and Excel tools for financial administration.
- Experience managing funds from German government donors (e.g., BMZ) and EU co-financing is an advantage.
- Structured and proactive working style, reliability, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and intercultural skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
