New Deadline for Self-Posting for Colleges of Education Applicants in 2024

New Deadline for Self-Posting for Colleges of Education Applicants in 2024

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced an extension of the deadline for the self-posting process for 2022 Colleges of Education applicants. Originally set for August 21, 2024, the new deadline has now been moved to August 30, 2024.

This extension is to ensure that all applicants have enough time to complete their online self-posting process and submit their appointment letters. The GES emphasized the importance of providing sufficient time for the applicants to finalize this crucial step in their application process.

Key Details of the Extended Deadline

  • New Deadline: August 30, 2024
  • Reason for Extension: To allow more time for 2022 College of Education applicants to complete the self-posting process.

Process Overview

The self-posting module allows graduates from Colleges of Education who are seeking teaching opportunities to select their preferred region, district, and school. This is done through the GES portal (www.gespromotions.gov.gh).

Applicants are required to:

  1. Visit the GES Portal: Access the self-posting module at www.gespromotions.gov.gh.
  2. Enter Required Details: Input your College Index Number for qualification verification, along with your phone number and NTC number. This information is critical for validation.
  3. Receive OTP: An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the provided phone number for verification.
  4. Select Preferences: Choose your preferred region, district, and school.
  5. Submit Application: After selecting your preferences, submit your application and save or print the appointment letter.

Appointment Letter Details

The appointment letter issued by GES will include a QR code for verification purposes. Applicants can scan the code with their smartphones to confirm the authenticity of the letter, a measure put in place to prevent the circulation of fake appointment letters.

Stay Updated

The GES encourages all applicants to regularly check the GES website and other official channels for the latest information and updates regarding the self-posting process.
