Project Overview: Sustainable Cocoa Initiative Support Programme (SCISP)

The SCISP is a joint initiative by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Running until October 2025, the program supports the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) in ensuring the Ghanaian cocoa supply chain complies with the EU Deforestation-Free Regulation (EUDR) by December 2025.

Role Overview: Technical Advisor

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Advisor to provide expert guidance in Child Labour Monitoring & Gender Mainstreaming. The selected candidate will drive technical planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities, ensuring compliance with industry and EU standards.

Key Responsibilities

✔️ Support project implementation through coordination and execution of key activities
✔️ Assist national and international advisors on topics including child labour, gender equity, regulatory compliance, private sector engagement, and certification
✔️ Develop action plans, synchronize project planning, and contribute to budget management
✔️ Lead knowledge management efforts, monitoring communication and data sharing between stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

✅ Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Social Science, or related fields (BSc, BA, MSc, MPhil, MBA)
✅ Language Skills: Excellent English proficiency; knowledge of French or German is a plus
✅ Technical Skills: Strong IT knowledge, including MS Office, email, and communication technologies
✅ Professional Experience:

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong background in monitoring and evaluation
  • Prior experience in international organizations
  • In-depth understanding of child labour monitoring and labour regulations

Role Overview: Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented M&E Specialist to support our Programme Management Unit (PMU). This role is crucial in developing, implementing, and refining the programme’s monitoring & evaluation system, ensuring data-driven decision-making and strategic progress tracking.

Key Responsibilities

✔️ Design and implement a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) system for the programme
✔️ Provide critical input for reports submitted to the BMZ and the European Union
✔️ Collect and analyze quantitative & qualitative data to assess programme impact
✔️ Assist in research studies, public relations efforts, and strategic planning
✔️ Maintain internal knowledge management systems and databases
✔️ Support various project activities and provide expert recommendations

What We’re Looking For

✅ Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, or a related field
✅ Professional Experience:

  • At least 5 years of relevant M&E experience
  • Strong background in impact-oriented data collection and analysis
  • Experience working in international development organizations (preferably in Sub-Saharan Africa)
    ✅ Technical & Analytical Skills:
  • Proficiency in data analysis, digital applications, and reporting
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
    ✅ Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; knowledge of French or German is a plus
    ✅ Other Requirements: Willingness to travel as required
