About the AFR100 Initiative
The African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative (AFR100) is a country-led effort to restore 100 million hectares of degraded land in Africa by 2030.

Position: Junior Professional
As a Junior Professional (JP), you will support technical assistance efforts, helping Restoration Champions (RCs)—local organizations engaged in sustainable land restoration—scale their businesses and secure financing.
Key Responsibilities
Business Support & Management
Develop commercial scale-up plans to help RCs expand and secure market access
Assist in market research and data analysis to identify trends and opportunities
Support negotiations between Restoration Champions and potential buyers
Provide hands-on guidance on business growth strategies, marketing, and fundraising
Help RCs create business plans to attract investors and financing opportunities
Attend stakeholder meetings to network and share insights
Monitoring & Reporting
Track project progress and ensure that RCs meet impact targets
Support the Business Associate with timely reporting and documentation
Conduct site visits to evaluate project effectiveness
Capture lessons learned and success stories for knowledge-sharing
Qualifications & Experience
Background in agriculture, forestry, or business development
Experience in commodity supply chains (e.g., coffee, cocoa, nuts, avocado, bamboo)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Passion for sustainability, restoration, and environmental impact
Excellent communication (written & spoken) in English
Willingness to travel within Ghana for stakeholder engagement
