Ghana Fire Service Recruitment Portal 2024: How to Apply & Requirements

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has initiated the 2024 recruitment process, starting from August 7th, 2024. This recruitment is for eligible Ghanaians who applied in 2021. Unlike the previous online application, this time, applicants are required to submit their applications via email.

General Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet the following general criteria:

  • Citizenship: Must be a Ghanaian citizen with no criminal record.
  • Age: For Officer Corps, age should be between 18 and 35 years as of September 1, 2021. For non-tradesmen, the age range is 18 to 30 years, and up to 36 years for Drivers/Mechanics.
  • Physical Requirements: Males must be at least 1.73m tall, and females at least 1.63m tall.
  • Education: Applicants must possess at least an “A” level qualification, five passes in WASSCE/SSCE including English and Math, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Health: Must meet the physical and medical standards set by the GNFS.

Officer Corps Eligibility

Candidates applying for the Officer Corps must have at least a first degree with a minimum of a second-class lower division in specific fields such as Engineering, Forensic Science, Marketing, Accounting, Nursing, and more.

General Duties Eligibility

For General Duties, including Firefighters, Tradesmen, and Driver Mechanics, specific educational qualifications are required, ranging from SSCE/WASSCE passes to City & Guilds Certificates in relevant trades.

  • Previous Screening Center
  • Qualifications
  • Full Name
  • Date and Place of Birth
  • Current Contact Information

Make sure all provided information is accurate. Physical submissions will not be accepted. Ensure your email’s subject indicates your chosen category and screening center from 2021.
