General Requirements
To qualify for the Ghana Police Service recruitment 2024, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Must be a Ghanaian by birth.
- Character: Must possess good character with no criminal record.
- Employment History: Must not have been dismissed from any public service or other employment.
- Age: Must be between 18 and 28 years old.
- Height: Minimum height of 5 feet 8 inches (173 cm) for males and 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm) for females.
- Health: Must be physically and medically fit according to Ghana Police Service standards.
- Education: Must have at least five passes in SSCE/WASSCE, including Mathematics and English, as of December 1, 2021.
- Training: Must be ready to undergo basic police training and other forms of training.
Additional Requirements for Degree and Diploma Holders
Degree Holders:
- Age: Must not exceed 35 years.
- Education: Must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Second-Class Lower Division) from a recognized university as of December 1, 2021.
HND Holders:
- Age: Must not exceed 35 years.
- Education: Must hold an HND in any field of study from a recognized Polytechnic or Tertiary Institution accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board as of December 1, 2021.
Diploma Holders:
- Age: Must not exceed 35 years.
- Education: Must hold a Diploma in any field of study from a recognized Polytechnic or Tertiary Institution accredited by the Ghana Accreditation Board as of December 1, 2021.
Submission Deadline
The deadline for submitting your application is Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Ensure that your information is accurate and that all certifications are valid. Physical submission of application forms will not be accepted.
Enlistment Process
- Notification: Successful applicants will be contacted for the next phase.
- Screening: Includes body selection and inspection of original documents such as birth certificates, academic certificates, and transcripts. Qualified applicants will be notified at the screening center.
- Medical Examination: Includes background checks and vetting of certificates.
- Continuous Vetting: Verification of documents throughout the process and possibly during and after training.
- Expenses: Applicants are responsible for their own transportation, feeding, and accommodation.
- Costs: Applicants will bear the cost associated with vetting and medical examinations.
