1. Job Vacancy for Finance Assistant
About UNICEF Ghana

Role Overview
As a Finance Assistant, you will handle essential financial tasks, including data management, report generation, and SAP/VISION transactions. You will also provide financial support to programme and operations sections to ensure efficiency and compliance with internal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial management and implement internal controls.
- Book cases in the Service Gateway to the Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) for timely processing.
- Process Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs) and liaise with banks.
- Review payment requests and ensure compliance with UNICEF policies.
- Assist in the orientation of new staff on financial processes.
- Maintain office petty cash and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
- Support financial capacity building for implementing partners.
- Perform monthly and yearly closure activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Completion of secondary education, with a preference for a university degree in Accounting/Finance or a professional finance certification.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible financial support experience.
- A bachelor’s degree can substitute for three years of experience, while a master’s degree can replace an additional two years.
- Fluency in English and the local language of the duty station is required.

2. Job Vacancy for National Intern, Finance
Role Overview
This internship offers a valuable opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in finance and administrative support. The intern will assist in handling financial documentation, submitting bank transfers, and following up on invoices and payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain finance-related databases, including registering and scanning documents.
- Assist with archiving financial records and dispatching correspondence.
- Track outstanding financial actions and generate reports.
- Support the preparation of VAT invoices and GRA refund documentation.
- Provide backup support for the Finance Assistant (GS5) during short-term absences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proof of enrollment in an undergraduate or advanced degree program, or completion of a relevant degree within the past two years.
- Academic background in Accounting or Finance-related disciplines.
- Strong report writing and data analysis skills.
- Familiarity with geospatial software is an added advantage.
- Fluency in English, with knowledge of an additional UN language being beneficial.
