Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Ghana Prisons Service recruitment 2024, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
- Character: Must possess good character with no criminal record.
- Age:
- 18 to 25 years for Sportsmen/Women
- 18 to 33 years for Junior Officers
- 21 to 35 years for Senior Officers
- Height:
- Minimum 5 feet 6 inches (168 cm) for males
- Minimum 5 feet 2 inches (157 cm) for females
- Health: Must be physically and medically fit.
- Education:
- General Duty Recruits: At least 5 passes in SSCE/WASSCE including Mathematics and English (as of December 31, 2021).
- Tradesmen Recruits: At least 6 passes in BECE including Mathematics and English, and NVTI trade test certificate II or equivalent in the specific trade (as of December 31, 2021).
- Agriculture and Medical Categories: At least 5 passes in SSCE/WASSCE including Mathematics and English, and specific certificate of diploma/HND qualification.
- Graduate Professionals: Degree holder or equivalent, completed national service (as of December 31, 2021), and specific academic or professional certificate in chosen field. Medical professionals must have completed one year post-housemanship (as of December 31, 2021).

Further Information on Enlistment Process
- Notification: Successful applicants will be contacted for the next phase.

- Continuous Vetting: Verification of documents throughout the process and possibly during and after training.
