Vice President Bawumia Offers Support to Ailing Yolo Actor Drogba – Watch Video

The Vice President of Ghana and flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, recently paid a visit to Ghanaian actor John Bredu Peasah, popularly known as Drogba. Drogba has been battling a rare nerve disorder called demyelination for the past two and a half years, gaining fame for his role in the TV series Yolo. His sister, Hannah Mensah, confirmed the visit on Monday following Drogba’s announcement about his diagnosis last Friday.

Since revealing his medical condition, Drogba has been seeking financial assistance to cover his increasing medical expenses. In response to his plea, Vice President Bawumia visited him, as captured in a video shared by GhanaWeekend. Accompanied by his aides, Dr. Bawumia was seen in Drogba’s living room, though the specifics of the support offered during the visit remain unclear.

Despite the Vice President’s visit, donations continue to pour in to assist Drogba. To facilitate contributions, his bank account details were shared: Name – John Bredu Peasah, Bank – Access Bank, Account Number – 0535934031, Branch – Adjiriganor Branch. The link to the video of the visit can be found here.
