Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the AEON Scholarship 2025, applicants must:

✅ Be self-funded international students from the following countries:

• India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Laos.

✅ Be currently enrolled at Kyoto University in:

• 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of undergraduate studies OR
• 1st year of a master’s program.

✅ Hold a valid student visa under the “Study Abroad” residency status.
✅ Be under 30 years old as of April 1, 2025.
✅ Not be receiving other scholarships (except for travel or admission fee assistance).
✅ Demonstrate financial need (monthly living costs under 100,000 JPY, requiring part-time work).
✅ Have at least N3 level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT) or provide equivalent proof of Japanese language skills.
✅ Show commitment to contributing to retail, services, finance, agriculture, IT, environment, or development sectors.
