About the Role

Starfoods Company Limited is searching for a qualified Procurement Officer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for the entire procurement process, from planning and research to contract negotiation and record keeping. You will ensure we acquire the best equipment, services, and supplies at the most competitive prices.

Plan and Manage Procurement Activities

• Prepare purchasing plans for equipment, services, and supplies.
• Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Research and evaluate potential suppliers to identify the best fit.

Ensure Adherence to Policies and Best Practices

• Follow and enforce the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
• Review, compare, and analyze products and services to ensure they meet our requirements.

Negotiate and Build Strategic Relationships

• Maintain and update supplier information.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts to secure the best terms for the company.

Qualifications and Experience

• Hold an HND or a degree in a relevant field.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
• Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Have excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Possess supervisory and management experience (preferred).
• Maintain a high degree of attention to detail.
