Fields for Short Service Commission:
1. Engineer Corps:
- Age Requirement: Not more than 30 years by 15 February 2025.
- Qualifications: Applicants must possess any of the following:
- Civil Engineering with a Master’s in Sewage Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering with a Master’s in Building Services
- Civil Engineering with a Master’s in Structural Engineering
- MSc/MBA in Project Management with a First Degree in any Building Environment Discipline
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant field.
- Professional Membership: Registered member of GHIE or relevant Professional Body with a practicing License and Certificate.
2. Engineering Branch (Air Force Only):
- Mechanical: Master’s in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Agricultural Engineering, plus 2 years of industry experience.
- Avionics: Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication/Computer Engineering, plus 2 years of industry experience.
- Armament: Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field, plus 2 years of industry experience.
3. Supply Branch (Air Force Only):
- Qualifications: Must possess a Master’s certificate in any of the following:
- Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Procurement, Commerce, Economics, or Logistics.
4. Legal:
- Age Requirement: Not more than 35 years by 15 February 2025.
- Qualifications: First Degree in Law (LLB) and must be called to the Bar with completed Pupillage.
- Experience: One (1) year work experience.
5. Medical:

- Medical and Dental Specialists: Not more than 40 years.
- Medical Officers and Dental Surgeons: Not more than 35 years.

- Nursing Officers, Clinical and Social Psychologists, Radiographers, etc.: Not more than 30 years.
- Specific Qualifications:
- Medical and Dental Specialists: MB ChB/BDS with relevant postgraduate qualification and permanent registration.
- Medical Officers/Dental Surgeons: MB ChB/BDS or equivalent with permanent registration and at least one (1) year post-registration experience.
- Optometrists: Doctor of Optometry degree with at least one (1) year post-registration experience.
- Physician Assistants: BSc in Physician Assistantship with at least one (1) year experience.
- Other medical roles have specific degree and experience requirements as outlined.
6. Chaplain:
- Age Requirement: Not more than 35 years by 15 February 2025.
- Qualifications: First Degree in Theology or Religion (BA) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of pastoral experience, including two (2) years post-ordination.
- Language: Ability to speak English and at least one major Ghanaian language fluently.
7. Imam:
- Age Requirement: Not more than 35 years by 15 February 2025.
- Qualifications: First Degree in Islamic Theology (Religion) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Practiced as an Imam for four (4) years and recognized by a recognized Islamic Religious Institution in Ghana.
- Language: Fluent in Arabic and English.
