About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee the technical management and successful implementation of the GPSCP II program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the achievement of project objectives, managing partnerships, and driving policy engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall technical, financial, and administrative management of the project.
- Monitor progress, report to stakeholders, and ensure result-oriented project execution.
- Oversee the fund facility, managing the full project cycle from proposal calls to implementation and closure.
- Coordinate inputs from technical and administrative teams to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
- Provide strategic guidance, adaptively improve project execution, and seize new opportunities.
- Actively engage in policy dialogues and contribute to policy developments.
- Develop and implement yearly and monthly project plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Foster synergy with other donor-funded projects for maximum impact.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business/Public Administration, Trade, Finance, Economics, Agronomy, or related fields.
- Experience:
- 7+ years as a Team Leader in international donor-funded projects with complex partner/stakeholder management.
- 10+ years in private sector development, economic development, or improving business environments in Ghana (preferably in agricultural value chains).
- Strong knowledge of Ghana’s political economy, policy environment, and government processes.
- Experience working with ministries, divisions, and agencies (MDAs) in Ghana is a plus.
- Expertise in agricultural value chains, particularly cashew and palm oil, and an understanding of sectorial opportunities and risks.
- Proven ability to administer fund facilities on international donor-funded projects.
- Awareness of social, environmental, and climate-related risks in agricultural value chains, with experience in gender and social inclusion strategies.
- Skills:
- Excellent project management and leadership abilities.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English.
