Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Environmental Health Analyst I shall provide support to the Clerk Parliament and Management of the Parliamentary Service by performing the following duties:
• Provide technical input for the formulation of environmental health policies • Interpret, monitor and evaluate the implementation of environmental health policies and programmes plan and prepare draft for the provision of environmental health programmes and services • Coordinate the implementation of appropriate strategies for effective environmental health services • Facilitate the conduct of research into environmental health issues • Provide technical support for the development of technical guidelines on environmental health management and services • Monitor and evaluate the performance and utilization of sanitation facilities, waste management services and advise on their improvement and sustainability • Implement social techniques and concepts in the solution of environmental health problems • Conduct research, collect data and document activities and issues on environmental health management • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the clerk to parliament
Qualification Required & Experience
• A good first degree in environmental science or relevant discipline with at least 3 years post master’s degree qualification experience in a position analogous to Principal Environmental Health Analyst in a public service institution
Age Limit:
• Except when an applicant has been in the employment of a public service institution or state agency, the applicant should not be above 45 years of age on the date of appointment to the post.

Job Summary
The Chief Internal Auditor will be responsible for providing independent and objective assurances services to add value and improve the effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes in the parliamentary service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Chief Internal Auditor shall provide support to the clerk and management of the Service by performing the following duties:
• Appraise and report on the soundness and application of the control systems operating in the Service • Evaluate the effectiveness of the risk management and governance process of the service and contribute to the improvement of that risk management and governance process • Provide assurance on the service with enactments, policies, standards, systems and procedures • Prepare an annual audit work plan of the activities required to be performed by the Office in a financial year taking into consideration the risk assessment conducted by the risk management office, including the fiscal risk of the service in accordance with guidelines issued by the internal audit agency • Submit annual audit work plan to the clerk to parliament, the audit committee and internal audit agency within thirty days after the beginning of the financial year. • Submit quarterly reports on the execution of the annual audit work plan to the Clerk to Parliament, the audit committee, the auditor-general and the internal audit agency • Report to the clerk to parliament any incidents of suspected fraud or misuse of public funds or where necessary to the Director-General of the internal audit agency who shall in consultation with the chairperson of the relevant audit committee initiate investigations into the matter • Perform any other duties assigned by the clerk to Parliament
Qualification Required & Experience
• A good first Degree in Accounting, Internal Auditing or a relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 14 years post qualification work experience plus a master’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 6 years in position analogous to a Director in a public service institution • An applicant must be a member in good standing of a recognized professional body
Age Limit:
• An applicant should not be more above 55 years of age on the date of appointment to this post. This age limitation does not apply to an officer who has served in the public service or state agency before the attainment of the voluntary retirement age 45 years

Job Vacancy For Deputy Director of Public Engagement
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill a vacancy in the post of Deputy Director of Public Engagement (Citizens Bureau) in the Parliamentary Service of Ghana.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Deputy Director of Public Engagement in charge of the Citizens Bureau shall provide support to the clerk to Parliament and management of the service by performing the following duties:
• Facilitate engagements between Parliament and CSOs/think tanks on critical issues of national importance, by arranging meetings between the Speaker of Parliament, Members of Parliament, Clerk to Parliament and committees of Parliament on the one hand and CSOs/think tanks on the other hand • Establish and maintain a database of CSOs/think-tanks operating in Ghana, classifying them according to the respective areas of work and aligning them with the various committee clusters of Parliament • Facilitate information sharing of approved parliament and CSOs/think tanks, This involves sharing of approved parliamentary information with CSOs/think tanks upon request. Research findings from CSOs and think tanks are also shared with MPs and committees to facilitate their work and respond to enquiries CSOs/think tanks have on issues before parliament • Facilitate capacity-building in the form of workshops and seminars for CSOs/thinks on the workings of Parliament and collaborative events between parliament and CSOs • Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of open government partnership and open parliament initiatives • Provide technical support to the open government partnership caucus in parliament and the open parliament steering committee as well as facilitate the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the open parliament action plan • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the clerk to parliament
Qualification Required & Experience
• A good first degree in social science, humanities, mass communication, public relations or any relevant subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 9 years relevant post-qualification work experience in a civil society organization plus a master’s degree OR • A good first degree and a master’s degree in social science, humanities, mass communication, public relations or a relevant field from a relevant university with a minimum of 5 years relevant post-qualification work experience in a civil society organization
