Job Vacancy - FAWE Ghana Seeks Human Resource/Safeguarding Officer

The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Ghana is looking for a qualified and passionate Human Resource/Safeguarding Officer to join their team. This full-time position, based in Accra, Ghana, plays a crucial role in managing employee welfare, safety, and ensuring a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR and safeguarding duties. Here’s a closer look:

Human Resources Management: Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to training, performance management, and benefits administration.
Safeguarding: Implement and uphold safeguarding policies to protect staff and vulnerable individuals from harm within FAWE Ghana and its networks.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations.
Positive Work Culture: Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment for all employees.

You will also:

Manage relationships with external stakeholders to support FAWE Ghana’s goals.
Develop and implement HR initiatives and best practices to attract and retain top talent.
Conduct HR data analysis and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for new and departing staff.
Facilitate staff welfare programs.

Qualifications

FAWE Ghana seeks a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong background in HR. Here are the key requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (with a Master’s degree being an advantage).
Professional HR membership (IHRM, CHRP)
Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a non-profit/NGO setting.
Experience working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & PowerPoint).
Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage diverse tasks.
Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills.
Experience working with gender and youth-based organizations.
Fluency in English.
