The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the commencement of the school selection and placement process for Junior High School (JHS) students who recently completed their Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE). The selection process will run from Wednesday, August 28, 2024, to Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
In an official statement, the GES emphasized the importance of parents and guardians actively participating in the school selection exercise to ensure a smooth and successful placement process.
“Parents and guardians are particularly advised to take a keen interest in the school selection exercise to ensure a smooth placement this year,” the GES stated.
The GES also mentioned that candidates will have the opportunity to confirm their school choices before the final placement is made.
“There would be an opportunity for candidates to text to a short code and confirm their school choices before actual placement will be done,” the statement added. Details of the shortcode will be communicated in due course.
Additionally, GES Headquarters officers will be monitoring the school selection exercise nationwide to ensure its smooth execution.
