UG SCHOOL OF NURSING SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The School of Nursing and Midwifery (SoNM), University of Ghana, has received funding from the Norwegian Program for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research for Development (NORHED). The grant aims to promote midwifery education and research in Ghana at the master’s and Ph.D. levels.
The Grant will support Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Midwifery and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing programs. The SoNM is delighted to invite interested and qualified applicants to apply to the scholarship program.
RESEARCH AREAS
For MPhil applicants, priority will be given to research areas in midwifery and related areas, including Labour Pain, Infectious Diseases in Pregnancy, Chronic Diseases in Pregnancy, Maternal Mental Health, Domestic/Gender-Based Violence, Female Cancers, Infertility and Midwifery Education and Administration.
For Ph.D. applicants, the priority research areas are the Midwife-led Continuity Model of Care, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Domestic/Gender-based Violence, Shared Decision Making in Maternal Care, and Digitized Midwifery Education and Training.

Note: You must be committed to publishing At least 1 paper (MPhil) or 3 papers (Ph.D.).
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants for this scholarship:
· Must be enrolled as a student in the MPhil Midwifery or Ph.D. Nursing program at SoNM, University of Ghana.
· Have excellent academic credentials and must demonstrate commitment to pursuing a research-based career.

Background, research question, objectives, method, work plan, and budget.
· Written evidence of approval of topic from a supervisor.
