Applying for a Tier 4 UK Student Visa

The Tier 4 UK Student Visa allows non-European Economic Area (EEA) and non-Swiss nationals to study in the UK. To apply, follow these steps:

  1. Online Application:

    • Visit https://www.gov.uk/apply-to-come-to-the-uk to complete the application.
    • Schedule and pay for your visa appointment (including the health surcharge if applicable). You can choose priority or premium services.
    • Print your application and confirmation.
  2. Prepare Required Documents:

    • Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
    • Proof of sufficient funds for tuition and living expenses for nine months (bank statements, certificates of deposit, or withdrawal slips). The funds must be held in your name, your parent’s name, or an approved sponsor’s name for at least 31 days before your visa fee payment.
    • ATAS certificate (if required by your CAS)
    • Tuberculosis test certificate from an approved clinic (https://www.gov.uk/tb-test-visa)
    • Health surcharge reference number (after payment)
    • Proof of relationship (birth certificate or adoption certificate) if funds are in your parent’s name
    • Sponsor’s permission letter to use their funds (if applicable)
  3. Attend Visa Appointment:

    • Go to your scheduled appointment with your passport, photos, and supporting documents.
    • A photograph and fingerprints will be taken at the appointment.

Important Note: Be honest in your application. Making false statements or using fake documents will result in a visa refusal and a potential 10-year travel ban to the UK.
