
The Spemann Graduate School of Biology and Medicine (SGBM) is currently accepting applications for up to four PhD positions sponsored by the DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Program (GSSP) for the academic year 2025/2026. Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the DAAD GSSP scholarship, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
- Possess a master’s degree in life sciences or a related area.

- Have not lived in Germany for over 15 months prior to the nomination.
- Have graduated no earlier than six years prior to the nomination date (exceptions may apply according to DAAD guidelines).
- Should not have previously completed a PhD.
Scholarship Benefits

- A monthly allowance of EUR 1,300.
- Expense reimbursement based on the country of origin.
