Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a national of one of the 12 qualifying West African nations:
  • Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree (Second Class Upper Division or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Have at least intermediate proficiency in the English language.
• Other ECOWAS member nations may be accepted as self-financed students, depending on availability.
