KNUST BSc Top-Up Admission Forms 2023/2024

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) offers admission to candidates interested in advancing their nursing and midwifery careers through the BSc. Top-Up Programmes for the 2023–2024 academic year.

Programmes Offered

The BSc. Top-Up Programmes at KNUST’s Department of Nursing, College of Health Sciences include:

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc.) Programme (Top-Up), Regular Sessions:
    • BSc. Emergency Nursing
    • BSc. Nursing
    • BSc. Midwifery
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc.) Programmes (Top-Up), Sandwich Sessions:
    • BSc. Nursing
    • BSc. Midwifery
    • BSc. Public Health Nursing

Entry Requirements

For candidates applying for the BSc. Top-Up (Regular) Programmes, the following entry requirements apply:

  • BSc. Emergency Nursing
  • BSc. Nursing

Applicants must hold a Diploma in Nursing with a good pass and be duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (NMC) or other recognized Nursing and Midwifery Regulatory body. Additionally, applicants must satisfy the university’s minimum entry requirement of credit passes in Six (6) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science.

  • BSc. Midwifery

Applicants must hold a Diploma in Midwifery with a good pass and be duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (NMC) or other recognized Nursing and Midwifery Regulatory body. Similarly, applicants must meet the university’s minimum entry requirement of credit passes in Six (6) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science.

  • BSc. Public Health Nursing

Applicants must hold a Diploma in Community Health Nursing/Public Health Nursing with a good pass and be duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (NMC) or other recognized Nursing and Midwifery Regulatory body. They must also fulfill the university’s minimum entry requirement of credit passes in Six (6) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science.

Application Process

To apply for KNUST’s BSc. Top-Up Programmes, candidates must follow these steps:

  1. Purchase an e-Voucher for GHȼ250.00 at designated Offices of Ghana Post Company Ltd or through the USSD code *447*160# on all mobile telecommunication networks.
  2. Utilize the e-Voucher code to access the online admission portal at apps.knust.edu.gh/admissions.
  3. Complete the application process online and attach scanned copies of all relevant documents, including academic and professional certificates, WASSCE Certificate/Results slips, and KNUST Access Results.
  4. After submission, applicants are advised to print a copy of the application for their records. Hardcopy submissions are not required.
  5. The deadline for submitting application forms is 15th May 2024.
