Job Vacancy: Regional Coordinator (North-East Region) – Plan International Ghana

Plan International Ghana is seeking a skilled and experienced professional for the role of Regional Coordinator on our EOF Lot 7 Project. This mid-level management position supports community-level activities, monitors progress, engages stakeholders, and ensures pupil participation in the program. About You

As the Regional Coordinator, you’ll lead community engagement efforts across six districts and manage field-based teams, ensuring effective implementation of in-school and out-of-school components of the project. You’ll oversee stakeholder relations, program delivery, and compliance at the regional level.


Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement

  • Lead and coordinate District Coordinators to strengthen School Management Committees and Parent Teacher Associations.
  • Build strategic relationships with stakeholders, including Regional and District Education Directorates.
  • Develop community engagement training materials and reports.
  • Implement outreach programs to promote pro-girl and pro-education attitudes.
  • Mobilize communities and ensure sustained participation in program activities.
  • Coach and supervise District Coordinators to ensure high-quality performance.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Provide feedback and strategic advice to the Project Manager.
  • Use technology for data collection and beneficiary communication.
  • Monitor pupil attendance and progress, conducting follow-ups as necessary.
  • Track school security and identify role models.

Staff Relations and Recruitment

  • Appraise and manage performance of District Coordinators.
  • Assist with recruitment and talent identification.
  • Collaborate with project teams for smooth delivery of program goals.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Expertise in child protection policies and community engagement strategies.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in community engagement and project management.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Degree in Education and teaching experience.
  • Familiarity with Ghana’s education system and inclusive education practices.

The Opportunity

Plan International Ghana seeks an experienced Project Lead for our Ghana Education Outcomes Programme (GEOP) under the Ghana Accountability and Learning Outcomes Programme (GALOP). This results-based financing initiative improves education outcomes for both in-school and out-of-school children.


Key Responsibilities

Program Strategy & Management

  • Oversee program delivery and compliance.
  • Support program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Manage budgets and donor deliverables.
  • Ensure accountability and impactful interventions.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build relationships with government agencies, partners, and donors.
  • Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders.

Leadership & Oversight

  • Supervise program teams and provide technical guidance.
  • Develop innovative strategies to meet targets efficiently.
  • Promote safeguarding and gender equality principles.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Expertise:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Education, Economics, Public Policy, or International Development.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ project management experience, preferably in education.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in results-based financing programs.
  • Expertise in program evaluation and performance monitoring tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting capabilities.
  • Proficiency in data management and CRM systems.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Ghana’s education system.
  • Experience in accelerated learning programs and teacher training.
