Position: Human Resource Manager

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Team Leadership: Overseeing a team of five (5) HR professionals

Job Summary

ACET is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager (HRM) to oversee the organization’s HR strategy, talent management, performance monitoring, policy development, and compliance. The HRM will collaborate with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to ensure ACET fosters a high-performance, values-driven workplace culture that aligns with international standards.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Planning & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy covering talent acquisition, management, and succession planning.
  • Advise the CEO and ELT on human capital risks and opportunities.
  • Champion ACET’s core values of efficiency, quality, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with Partnerships and Operations teams to assess HR needs for strategic initiatives.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management

  • Partner with Directors and Program Heads to build a strong workforce that aligns with ACET’s goals.
  • Maintain a leadership and specialized talent pipeline to support long-term growth.
  • Oversee onboarding, learning, development, retention, and offboarding strategies.
  • Utilize HR data and analytics to enhance recruitment and retention processes.

Employee Engagement & Well-being

  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture.
  • Oversee staff well-being programs to enhance motivation and productivity.

Performance Management

  • Manage the performance appraisal system, ensuring regular and meaningful evaluations.
  • Provide guidance on feedback mechanisms and performance improvement plans.

Policy Development & Compliance

  • Ensure HR policies align with international best practices and legal compliance.
  • Draft and manage employment contracts with consistency and legal integrity.

HR Systems & Data Management

  • Oversee HR Information Systems (HRIS) to streamline HR operations.
  • Provide leadership with HR data insights for informed decision-making.

Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution

  • Act as a key point of contact for employee relations, including conflict resolution and grievances.
  • Promote open communication and an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certifications: Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, SPHR, CIPD) is highly advantageous.
  • Experience: 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within an international or non-profit organization.

  • Deep understanding of international employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven leadership ability to manage HR teams and influence senior leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, advisory, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and HR analytics.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to HR best practices.
