Job Vacancy for Internal Audit Manager

The Internal Audit Manager will oversee the staff of the Internal Audit department and assist in providing independent assurance on the adequacy of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes at Pinnacle Holding Company Limited.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Group Chief Internal Auditor in developing an Internal Audit Strategic Plan aligned with the company’s vision.
  • Develop a budget for approval by the Group Risk and Audit Committee, covering training needs and financial resources.
  • Review policies and procedures related to risk, governance, ethical conduct, and health and safety, recommending improvements where necessary.
  • Conduct entity-wide risk assessments and develop a risk-based annual audit plan for approval.
  • Supervise audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting processes.
  • Partner with management and audit staff to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Develop budgets and timelines for audits.
  • Execute operational, financial, and IT audits, including implementation and post-implementation reviews.
  • Review audit work papers to ensure clarity, completeness, and compliance with audit methodology.
  • Identify professional development areas for audit staff and provide periodic training.
  • Supervise daily activities of Internal Audit staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance in compliance with performance standards.
  • Discuss audit observations, recommendations, and action plans with the Group Chief Internal Auditor.

Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum of a first degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Professional qualifications in ACCA, CIA, ICA, or CIMA preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of related experience at a managerial level.

Skills & Attributes Required

  • Strong knowledge of internal auditing practices and standards.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and coaching skills.
  • Effective supervisory and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Summary

The Head of Business Control will report to the Director of Risk and Business Control and will safeguard company assets by identifying risks, improving internal controls, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in risk assessment and policy development, ensuring implementation and compliance.
  • Conduct internal control reviews and compliance assessments.
  • Organize awareness campaigns on internal control in Ghana.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Conduct self-assessments and audits, following up on remedial actions.
  • Monitor internal control maturity and key financial controls.
  • Support fraud investigations and revenue assurance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors and the Audit and Risk Committee.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or IT (Master’s in Risk Management preferred).
  • ACCA/CPA Part 1 qualification.
  • CISA Certification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience, with at least three (3) in the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong auditing and control expertise.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
