Job Description
As a cashier at Manigold Engineering Ghana Limited, your main tasks will include:
- Managing Transactions: You’ll be handling transactions using cash registers. This means ensuring smooth and accurate transactions.
- Scanning Goods: You’ll be responsible for scanning items and making sure their prices are correct. Paying attention to details is crucial here.
- Collecting Payments: Whether it’s cash or credit, you’ll collect payments. This needs good communication skills.
- Issuing Receipts and More: You’ll provide customers with receipts, handle refunds, give change, and sell tickets for various services.
- Redeeming Stamps and Coupons: If customers have stamps or coupons, you’ll redeem them to give them the benefits they’re entitled to.
- Cross-Selling and Providing Information: You’ll also be promoting and introducing new products while assisting customers and resolving their concerns.
- Greeting and Keeping Things Tidy: A warm greeting when customers enter or leave the store sets a positive tone. It’s also your job to keep the checkout area clean.
- Tracking Transactions: Accurate record-keeping is a must. You’ll track transactions and report any discrepancies.
Qualification Required & Experience
To qualify for this cashier position, you should have:
- Work Experience: Previous experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar sales role.
- Tech Skills: Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment like cash registers.
- Math Skills: Good math skills to ensure precise transactions.
- Communication and Time Management: Strong communication and time management skills.
- Customer-Oriented: A mindset focused on customer satisfaction.
- Education: A diploma, HND, or degree.
