The Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF) is hiring a dedicated and experienced Field Officer (FO) to join its team in Fielmuo, Upper West Region. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through community development programs focused on Agriculture, Education, WASH, and Child Protection. The position is for an initial 2-year duration, renewable based on performance.

The Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF) is a U.S.-based private organization providing funding and operational support to NGOs in Ghana and Kenya. Since 2012, VVF has been implementing programs in the Upper West Region to promote sustainable development in agriculture, education, water, sanitation, and child protection.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Field Officer
1. Community/Stakeholder Mobilization
- Identify and enroll communities in VVF programs.
- Follow community entry protocols and mobilize stakeholders.
- Establish program structures like VSLAs, FBOs, and Girls Clubs.
- Serve as a liaison between VVF and communities.
- Work closely with opinion leaders and traditional authorities.
- Sensitize communities about VVF interventions.
- Represent VVF at community-level meetings.
2. Training, Mentorship, and Coaching
- Develop training materials in collaboration with coordinators.
- Facilitate training sessions for beneficiaries on LIFE, WASH, and E-CLIP programs.
- Develop and strengthen child abuse reporting channels.
- Provide psychosocial counseling and support community protection systems.
- Promote sustainable agriculture practices and support demonstration fields.
3. Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
- Develop quarterly and annual work plans and budgets.
- Implement project activities in a timely manner.
- Use M&E tools effectively for data collection.
- Distribute educational materials to schools.
- Document success stories and lessons learned.
- Prepare and submit regular reports.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships
- Build rapport with communities, authorities, CSOs, and private sector actors.
- Represent VVF at stakeholder meetings when required.
5. Additional Duties
- Perform administrative and support tasks as assigned.
- Execute any other lawful duties directed by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Degree in Agronomy, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within an NGO.
- Proficiency in riding a motorbike across long distances.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Fluency in Sissali and/or Dagaare languages is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Passionate about improving rural community livelihoods.
