
MTN Ghana is seeking a highly motivated Analyst, Carrier Operations to oversee daily operational activities related to wholesale national roaming, value-added services (VAS), voice, and SMS. This role plays a key part in achieving our wholesale revenue and cost targets within a dynamic and competitive telecommunications industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain partnerships with telecom carriers and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing with carriers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations and issue resolution.
- Oversee provisioning, activation, and deactivation of carrier services.
- Ensure carrier circuits and services meet performance and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to manage network capacity and scalability.
- Optimize carrier routes and configurations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor carrier expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with telecommunications regulations and standards.
- Support audits related to carrier services and operations.
- Provide financial reports and forecasts related to carrier expenditures.
- Communicate carrier-related updates and changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with NWG, IT, Regulatory, and RAFM teams to meet operational goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Minimum of a first degree in a commercial or technical discipline.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in roaming, carrier operations, or a related wholesale business.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- Working knowledge of billing systems (interconnect billing preferred).
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in a telecom business function.
