Job Vacancy: Head of General Accounting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Credit Control team to manage receivable balances efficiently.
  • Recognize and record doubtful debt provisions monthly.
  • Monitor customer accounts for delayed or irregular payments.
  • Prepare timely financial reports on receivables performance.
  • Reconcile roaming and interconnect balances with clearing houses.
  • Generate and review financial reports such as cash collection and aging reports.
  • Ensure sub-ledger reconciliations with general ledgers.
  • Implement financial controls within the business.
  • Provide insights into working capital management and receivable trends.
  • Work closely with IT, Revenue Assurance, and Reporting teams for accurate financial reporting.
  • Resolve disputes with Revenue Assurance and Interconnect Partners.
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in ACCA, CIMA, or ICAG (Final Level).
  • 4-6 years of experience in a similar accounting role.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth understanding of billing systems.
  • Proficiency in IFRS, especially in revenue and financial instruments.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Vacancy: Senior AT Money Reconciliation Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily trust account reconciliations.
  • Conduct a three-way reconciliation of platform, bank, and general ledger.
  • Ensure accurate recording of MFS-related costs and commission accruals.
  • Reconcile all transactions on the platform at day’s end.
  • Process and reconcile GhIPSS transactions accurately.
  • Monitor and record electronic money movements in the general ledger.
  • Ensure reconciliation of restricted and unrestricted balances.
  • Maintain timely recording of liquidations and dealer account transactions.
  • Identify and resolve reconciling items within agreed SLAs.
  • Engage with banks and stakeholders to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Reconcile merchant payments and stock purchase wallets.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Part qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or ICAG.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in finance or reconciliation roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting tools.
  • Knowledge of AML procedures in banking and mobile financial services.
