POSITION: CHIEF BUDGET ANALYST FOR REGIONAL COORDINATING COUNCIL (REGIONAL BUDGET ANALYST)

JOB PURPOSE: To lead budget preparation and management in the Local Government Service.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Advise on cost implications and financial decisions.
  • Coordinate budget preparation.
  • Assist in fee-fixing resolutions.
  • Participate in procurement planning.
  • Contribute to Regional and District Planning Coordinating Units.
  • Develop staff capabilities.
  • Appraise direct reports.
  • Undertake assigned tasks.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s Degree in Administration (Finance), Social Sciences, Economics, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 15 years in Local Government Service or comparable Public Sector organization.
  • At least 6 years in Senior Management.
  • Member of a recognized professional body.

  • Public Financial Management.

  • Facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Monitoring and evaluation skills.

  • Literacy in Information & Communications Technology (ICT).
