Don’t Use My Brand in your Political Campaigns ~ Shatta Wale warns
Don’t Use My Brand in your Political Campaigns ~ Shatta Wale warns Ghanaian politicians for 2020 election.
Award winning artiste Charles Nii Armarh popularly known by his stage name as Shatta Wale has warned against the use of his brand in any political campaign this year.
Shatta Wale is best known for his controversial comments about the Ghana music industry and variety of other topics.
His comments has always sparked heated reactions from Ghanaians and Social media users.
This time round, the reggae/dancehall artiste has descended on politicians in his post on Facebook. On Tuesday, 25th August Shatta Wale posted on his Facebook homepage:
No one should use my picture or my identity/brand on any political campaign or platforms.
Myself and my loyal fans will support and cooperate with any person who Ghanaians elect as their president..
Anyone who wishes to seek any further clarifications/explanations should call or contact my office (The secretariat) on 0544662230
While this may have ignited mixed reactions from people, most Ghanaian are saying it is a good decision the artiste has made. It is crystal that Shatta Wale does not want any involvement with political campaigns. But, this year especially when it has something to do with his brand.
However, the question we are asking is, what could have prompted the reggae/dancehall artiste to go public on this?
Also, is the NDC banned from using “Mahama Paper” in their campaign this year since it was one of the main campaign song of the NDC in the last elections?. However, he was found on NDC platform in the year 2016 before election.
He said with emotions that his loyal should please cooperated with this decision.
