How to do CSSPS 2023 Self-Placement

Here is the steps and self-placement options as GES releases the 2023 CSSPS results for second-cycle institutions in Ghana.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially released the 2023 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results for entry into second-cycle institutions. The announcement, made on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, brings both anticipation and clarity for thousands of students and their families.

Out of the 598,839 results received from the West African Examination Council (WAEC), an impressive 585,797 candidates have qualified for placement in Senior High Schools and Technical and Vocational Education and Training Schools (TVET). An encouraging 81.56% of these candidates, totaling 477,772, have automatically secured placements in one of their preferred choices.

Accessing Your Self-Placement: A Step-by-Step Guide

For those who made the cut, accessing your placement is a straightforward process:

  1. Obtain a Placement Pin Code: Purchase from an approved vendor.
  2. Visit the CSSPS Website: Log onto www.cssps.gov.gh.
  3. Enter Your Details: Use your ten-digit index number, adding 23 as the year of completion (e.g., 123456789023).
  4. Provide Pin Code Details: Include the serial number and pin.
  5. Submit and Wait: Click submit and patiently await your placement.
  6. Print Your Documents: Once placed, print your enrolment form, placement slip, and prospectus.
  7. Check Results and Dial: Visit Resultschecker.com.gh or dial 800055# to buy your Placement Checker.

Self-Placement: Empowering Choice

However, not all candidates automatically secured placements. Some 108,025 qualified candidates, constituting 18.44%, find themselves in the self-placement category.

Here’s what you need to do for self-placement:

  1. Visit the Portal: If not matched automatically, visit the Self-Placement Portal.
  2. Provide Your Preferences: Choose your preferred school based on region, residential preference, school, and program.
  3. Submit and Print: Click submit and print the form. Initiate the admission process by visiting the selected school.
  4. Flexibility in Choice: You can change your selected school multiple times until final enrollment.

GES Support and Helpline

The GES assures support through various channels. Aside from the National Solution Centre at the GNAT Hall, Adabraka, and Regional Solution Centres at various Regional Education Offices, candidates can call the helpline at 0308258001 for assistance with any concerns.

As students embark on this pivotal educational journey, the CSSPS results not only open doors to learning but also empower individuals to shape their academic destiny.
