The town of Kasoa Iron City is mourning the tragic death of Gideon Adu-Boakye, a Ghana Prisons Service officer stationed in Nsawam. He was reportedly lynched over the weekend after returning home to visit family. His lifeless body was found in a gutter near the Hope of Restoration School junction following his disappearance.

According to reports, Gideon left home on Sunday, but he did not return. Worried by his absence, his family reached out to the Ngleshie Amanfro police, prompting a search. On Monday, his body was discovered, with accounts indicating that he cried out for help, identifying himself as a prison officer, but the mob failed to listen.
