Ghana Army Regular Officer Cadet Recruitment 2024

The Ghana Army is recruiting Regular Officer Cadets to fill various positions across multiple branches. All applicants must meet the general eligibility criteria, along with specific educational requirements for each branch. Here is a summary of the branches and their qualifications:

1. Infantry/Armor/Artillery

  • Qualifications: Must hold at least a First Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower honors from an accredited university.

2. Signal Corps

  • Qualifications: A First Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors in one of the following fields:
    • Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Instrumentation/Systems/Network Engineering
    • Cyber/Forensic Security, Network Security, IT Systems Auditing
    • Information Systems Science, Management Information Systems
    • Mathematics, Physics, ICT, Telecommunications Engineering
    • Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Radio/Satellite Communication Engineering
    • Geomatic Engineering

3. Combat Engineers

  • Qualifications: Must hold a BSc Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors in areas such as:
    • Civil Engineering, Electrical/Renewable Energy Engineering, Mechanical/Agricultural Engineering
    • Building Technology, Construction

    • Geomatic/Geodetic Engineering, Structural Engineering, Project Management

4. Electrical/Electronic Engineers

  • Qualifications: A Second Class Lower honors degree in one of the following:
    • Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering

5. Mechanical Engineers

  • Qualifications: A First Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors in one of the following fields:
    • Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automobile Engineering

6. Ordnance Corps (Base Ammunition Depot Only)

  • Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors in:
    • Chemistry/Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry/Physics, Chemical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics
  • Additional Requirement: Certification in Ammunition Technology or Explosive Ordnance Disposal at Level 3 is a plus.

7. Education Corps

  • Qualifications: A First Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors in languages such as:
    • French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, German, or Chinese
  • Additional Asset: Knowledge of German or Portuguese as a third language.

8. Public Relations

  • Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors in:
    • Communication Studies, Fine Arts (NAFTI), Public Relations, or Journalism
