GES to Launch Recruitment for University Graduates and Diploma Holders in 2024

Ghana Education Service (GES) Plans Recruitment Drive for 2024

The Ghana Education Service (GES) is set to recruit university graduates and diploma holders in 2024, contingent upon receiving financial clearance from the Finance Ministry. Dr. Erick Nkansah, the Director General of GES, emphasized that the lack of such clearance has been the primary obstacle to hiring new personnel.

Dr. Nkansah assured that once the necessary financial clearance is secured, the GES will promptly announce the recruitment process to fill the various vacancies. He pledged to expedite the recruitment process to ensure swift placement of the newly recruited educators.

“We are actively seeking financial clearance for university graduates and diploma holders,” stated Dr. Nkansah. “Upon receiving it, we will adhere to the standard recruitment procedures.”

Update on GES Self-Posting System

In related news, Dr. Nkansah addressed the temporary shutdown of the GES’s self-posting system for teachers. This system was initially introduced to allow teachers to select their preferred regions and schools, minimizing complaints about undesirable postings.

The system is currently undergoing updates, resulting in its temporary inaccessibility. Dr. Nkansah assured that the system would be back online once the updates are complete, enabling teachers to self-repost within the system. The GES will communicate appropriately when the system is operational again.

Preparing for Recruitment

With just four months until the 2024 general elections, the GES’s announcement has elicited mixed reactions. Teachers are advised to prepare their required documents and stay tuned for the official recruitment announcement by the GES.
