Regional Advisor Role: Driving Trade and Environment Integration Scope of Role: As a Regional Advisor, you will support the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat in negotiations and implementation, focusing on trade, environment, customs cooperation, and women and youth in trade. This role involves working closely with regional bodies, providing technical advice, and coordinating research on trade integration.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Economics, International Trade, or Trade Law.
  • 5-7 years of experience in trade policy and regional integration.
  • Fluent in English and French; other AU languages are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of trade-environment linkages and development cooperation.

Technical Advisor for Gender Equality and Social Inclusion: Championing Inclusion Scope of Role: This position focuses on implementing gender-transformative approaches in anti-corruption efforts within the Participation, Accountability, and Integrity for a Resilient Democracy (PAIReD) program. Responsibilities include coordinating public education campaigns, developing capacity-building initiatives, and mainstreaming gender in all interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Gender Studies or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in gender equality, anti-corruption, and governance.
  • Proven ability to work with both state and non-state actors.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills.

Office Manager: Streamlining Operations for Success Scope of Role: As an Office Manager, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of GIZ’s office in Accra. Responsibilities include managing office inventory, organizing events, supervising support staff, and coordinating administrative procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in IT tools and office management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Communications Specialist: Crafting Impactful Stories Scope of Role: This position involves developing and implementing a 360-degree communication plan for GIZ’s Special Initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition” project. Key tasks include producing PR materials, managing media relations, and creating engaging content for digital platforms.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in communications, preferably in development projects.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a flair for visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency in IT and design tools.
