The much-anticipated 2024 BECE Senior High School (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) school placements will likely be released between October 23 and 27, 2024. According to Mark Sasu, National Coordinator for the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), the placements are expected to go live a week before October 30, 2024, barring any technical or administrative issues.
Speaking on the system’s readiness, Mr. Sasu reassured students, parents, and the general public that the process is running smoothly. He also dismissed rumors about challenges within the placement system, asserting that no significant errors had been recorded. Earlier predictions had indicated that the placement would be released between October 23 and 27, 2024, aligning with Education-News Consult’s projections.
Additionally, the CSSPS has collaborated with security agencies to curb any fraudulent activities surrounding the placement process. This comes in response to concerns that individuals might attempt to exploit the system, especially during the election year. Mr. Sasu emphasized that any attempts to disrupt the process would be swiftly addressed by law enforcement.
Parents and students are reminded that they will need valid placement checkers to access their placements through the CSSPS portal once the results are available. Fraud prevention measures have been put in place to ensure a smooth and transparent process.
