Roman Fada Disqualified from Running as GFP Presidential Candidate in Ghana’s 2024 Election

Roman Fada, also known as Phillip Appiah Kubi, will no longer be contesting in the 2024 Ghana presidential election under the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) banner. The Electoral Commission disqualified him due to multiple errors and alleged irregularities in his nomination forms, as reported by TV3’s Crosby Annan.

The Electoral Commission stated on Tuesday that the decision is final, emphasizing that no adjustments will be made to the positions on the ballot. Chairperson Jean Mensa confirmed, “Votes for Madam Akua Donkor will be annulled,” referencing the party’s previous candidate, Akua Donkor, who passed away on October 28, 2024, at Ridge Hospital in Accra.
