A Look Back at NSMQ’s Impact
The NSMQ is a national program designed to encourage Ghanaian second-cycle schools to prioritize science and mathematics education. The program’s success is evident in the achievements of past contestants. Dr. Jochebed Adwoa Sutherland, a 2017 NSMQ participant, recently emerged as the overall best student in both Ghana and West Africa for the 2017 WASSCE. Additionally, Haqq Abubakar Soolah, a member of the 2023 St. John’s School NSMQ team, received a prestigious $75,000 scholarship to study at the Accra College of Medicine.
Can PRESEC-Legon Achieve an Unprecedented Three-peat?
All eyes will be on PRESEC-Legon as they attempt to secure a historic third consecutive NSMQ victory. However, formidable contenders like Achimota and Prempeh College are sure to put up a strong fight to dethrone the reigning champions. With the regional balloting complete, the stage is set for another exciting year of NSMQ!
